Those of you who know me know that I’m obsessed all things Mexico, from Frida Kahlo to tequila, I love it all. But what’s better than some Mexican food? The only thing is there’s not always time for a Mexican breakfast, but on my many hours of looking at recipes on the internet I came across a version of this chocolate smoothie that has a hint of Mexico! It’s like a Mexican hot chocolate for breakfast – delightful.
Here’s what you need:
1/2 cup hazelnut milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup spinach
1 small banana
1 tablespoon of cacao
Pinch of cayenne pepper
The juice of one lime
Blend all of the ingredients until it’s smooth and drink immediately or seal and pop in the fridge for later.
