Last year I made some energy bites and I’ve been eating them on and off since, but they had puffed rice in them so they didn’t stay crispy for long and I’d end up eating them way too fast! So I though I’d rethink it and throw together something smoother (this worked better than my pancakes).
What you need:
16 dates
1 scoop of MyProtein Soy Isolate powder (chocolate flavour)
2 tablespoon chia seeds
4 tablespoon PB Fit powder (made into a paste with water)
2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
1/4 cup oats
3 tablespoon desiccated coconut
First things first, remove the stones from your dates then chop them into thirds. Throw everything except the desiccated coconut in your blender and blend until smooth. It might take a few goes to get it smooth but that’s normal. Spread the desiccated coconut on a plate and spilt to mix into 10 equal parts, roll each part into a smooth ball, then roll in the coconut. Do this with all 10, place on a plate and leave in the fridge for at least one hour – simple hey?
Makes 10 balls, 2 balls per serving.

We make these at home. Almost the exact same recipe except the addition of some ground mixed nuts. A great energy booster before/after the gym!
