SMOOTHIE: Chocolate smoothie that’s good for you

Are you avoiding dairy like me? Craving some chocolate but don’t want to give in to the temptation of a chocolate bar? I have a recipe for this very urge that won’t give you that bad feeling.

You need:
1 cup of spinach
1 banana
4 dates (chopped and soaked in water for about 15 minutes)
1 cup of non-dairy milk (I like to use rice milk for this)
1/2 tablespoon of cacao powder

Blend all of this together and add a little cold water if it’s looking a little thick. Ok so brown smoothies don’t look great but it’s chocolate and the dates make it super sweet! If you’re not on the cacao bandwagon yet a good quality cocoa powder will do the trick.

If you want to try this in the morning but don’t what to neck this and a coffee, add a teaspoon of instant coffee.
