BREAKFAST: Granola, without the sugar

I love cereal but a lot of the cereal you buy in the supermarket labels itself as health when it’s actually stuffed with sugar, so no more thanks! I’ve ditched the supermarket cereal for a homemade granola, inspired by my fave foodie Gwyneth Paltrow here’s an easy granola recipe.

You need:

3 cups of oats

1 cup of walnuts

1 cup of pumpkin seeds

3/4 cup of raisins

1/2 cup of olive oil

1/2 cup of maple syrup

Mix the oil and maple syrup together in a big bowl, add in the oats and pumpkin and stir until they are all covered. Cover a baking tray with baking paper, spread the oat mix out and bake at 180c for about 20-30 minutes. It’ll dry out and go a lovely crispy, golden texture. Leave it to cool then add in the nuts and raisin, store it in a glass jar and enjoy with some rice milk in the morning.

The best thing about this is you can change it up every time you make it, swap the walnuts for hazelnuts, the raisins for cranberries and you’ll never get bored!

Serving suggestion: blueberries and kiwi
